I studied history in Ghent, Fellini in Pisa and cinema in Antwerp. After luring audiences into watching film reel magic at the Royal Belgian Film Archive, I lived on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples (Vancouver) where I continued my work as a freelance writer.
Articles have appeared in print and online at Point of View Magazine (CA), Photogenie (BE), Filmmagie (BE), Cineuropa (EU) and FilmDaze (US). In the past, I also wrote this for MO*.
I’m a member of FIPRESCI and UPCB·UBFP.
Sundance, VIFF, Hot Docs, TIFF, Open City Documentary Festival, Visions du Réel are some of the festivals I’ve covered in the past two years. I recently sat on the jury of Off Camera, the International Festival of Independent Cinema in Krakow.
